Creative technologist and maker, Charlotte Dann, is a senior software engineer who designs jewellery and abstract puzzles. For her puzzles she explores generative art using a computer program to design colourful illuminous creations and then chooses a selection to be laser cut into jigsaw puzzles.

Working from Charlotte’s detailed CAD drawings, we firstly glue her print on to a Perspex laminate and then laser cut the piece forming small intricate jigsaw pieces. Each design is visually complex forming multiple layers and we must make sure that the image is the correct way up before we start the process.
These blurry landscapes are sometimes chaotic, sometimes calm but always visually stunning.
